Jumpcore

Jumpcore takes its inspiration from Fred Herko, a cult American dancer known for his suicidal performance in which he jumped out from an apartment to Mozart’s “Coronation Mass”. Every ballet dancer has the impression that he can fly, and hovering in the air he does fly indeed, though only for a moment. Paweł Sakowicz’s performance is a variation on the theme of jumping, ranging from ballet to rave, and how to turn the body into an energetic machine.
